Trane screw compressor oil

Hi! I need to replace oil in Tane screw compressor CHHB 070. The oil type is 025E. I can′t find information about this oil. Viscosity and so on… I want to select analogue of 025E. (R 22). Chiller RTRA108. Can anybody help?

Hi.

As the below indicates.
Both 025E and 050E are semi synthetic 300SUS 68 grade.
Just search for an alternative.
The E denotes European Oil.

I'm not a salesman or trying to sling any snake oil. I'm simply trying to help supplement this forum's knowledge base of lubricants. It appears many just understand oil as oil. I attempt to not directly market or sell anything (especially since we do not sell to end users). I'm simply here to try and help people make a better fluid selection - even if it's not one of ours.

As for the original question. Any POE based fluid in a 68cSt will work just fine. If you notice high R22 dilution into your oil, you may have to step up to a 100cSt. The big thing is to have a minumum viscosity of 7-9cSt at your bearings (which are usually 180-220ºF) POEs generally have a higher viscosity index and better solubility/miscibility with R22 and any lubricants the compressor might have been running prior. POEs do not contain paraffin particles like cracked oils (or base mineral oil) and are more stable oxidatively. There is a reason many OEMs are now shipping their products filled with POE based fluids.

Hi! Else one little question relative to oil replacement. Chiller Dunham Bush ACHDX, horizontal screw also Dunham - HSC 1509. R407C. Can t find info about DB18oil. First of all viscocity.. Can anybody help?
