hi
i have lg 24000 btu split ac unit
there is high pressure switch and solenoid valve
10298
the both the solenoid valve and hi pressure switch wired togather
the hi press switch installed on the suction pipe of condenser
the sloenoid installed between evaporator inlet and the discharge of the compressor
what is the utility of them
they printed on the hi pressure switch
ON 32 KGF/CM2 G
OFF 26 KGF/32 G
10299

What do you mean how do they work? Are you sure the solenoid is on the suction?

no the the sloenoid installed between evaporator inlet and the discharge of the compressor

Sounds like an over pressure relief system.
If the condensing pressure goes too high it relieves the pressure directly into the evaporator for return to the compressor.
Some chillers do this with a pressure relief valve instead of the solenoid valve.

This is a safety pressure switch contact when there is enough amount of ***** pressure ..and dis contact when there is a leak in the ***** and a pressure decrease ...

Could be a hot gas bypass for when inverter is running flat out and suction is low and discharge is high, levels the system out a bit!
