Multideck cabinet runs at 0 c to +2c
134a, cap tube and small pipe runs. (unit is only 6' wide)

I have just obtained these measurements. Please give feedback on them. ( unit is running down to temp ok)
ambient temp 16 c

Compressor suction temp (gauge) -15c
Comp discharghe temp (gauge) 33c
Tube temp straight out of compressor 52c
Tube temp entering condenser (after running through dry defrost tray) 30c
Tube temp out of condenser 24c
Tube temp out of evap 14c
Suction tube temp 6" from compressor 14c

:) ;)

And what do you make of these values??

Both look very high.

For that type of appliction I would have thought more along the lines of 3K subcooling and 15K superheat.

What are the velocities of your air curtain?

What happens when you load the unit?
How long does it take to pull down?
How long are the cycles?
What type of defrost?
What are the times of defrost?

 :)

they seem about average. ( compared to others on test.)

Wow. Be interesting to see what the other guys rekon. I'd love to get my hands on one and gut it just to see what it does.

New figures
SST -12 c
SDT 35 c
Discharge 52 c
LLT 30 c
Evap exit 13

Ambient temp 18 c

(condenser air input 18 c)
air output 27 c)

Superheat 5k
subcooling 25k

The have perforated back panels which lets cold air pass over shelves. Also has vent on top which gives a sort of air curtain...

lol:) don't give up mate. Hey did you give that charging method a crack??

On that cabinet mate I reckon on a cap tube you should have 9k subcooling and maybe 10-12k total superheat. To get it just right you need 0k superheat on the evap
