Hi Guys,

Wonder if you can give me some advice.. I have a Mitsubishi VRF water source heatpump installed in my house, where the unit model is a PQRY-P250YHM-A, where the heating capacity is around 30kw. I have been monitoring the energy consumption of the unit and I find that where I only run one small indoor unit (2.5kw), the consumption of the outdoor unit is greater than this.. Is there a minimum capacity that you should run a VRF system at? Some advice on how to run the system would be good.. :-S

Thanks, Ad

typically its no less than 20% of the outdoor capacity

2.5kw is the nominal heating/cooling duty of the indoor unit NOT the electrical consumption rate.
The PQRY is at it's most efficient at above 25% the total system diversity.
