When the unit leaves the factory, it has the 'Capacity' setting installed in the EEPROM via software, as the outdoor boards fit multiple size units.

If you replace the outdoor board, or indeed the indoor pcb, you need the capacity setting resister to tell it what capacity it is supposed to work at, i.e. 7.1kW, 10kW, 12kW, 14kW

It is a small resistor that just plugs onto the pcb.

Whoever sold you the pcb should have advised that the resistor was required

Thanks Frank :)

Couldn't buy through a more direct source as company policy don't like me sourcing through non account stockists.

Well they'll just have to keep using the "leccy" heaters until it gets here LOL

Cheers again

Trash,

You should have receiced instruction with the PCB, there are 3 x jumpers on the new board that may also need to be cut and 2 x connectors that must be removed form original PCB and refitted to the replacement.

Jumpers:
JH = Compressor type
J4 = Voltage selection
J5 = Cooling only / heat pump
