Sup everyone!

Need to test some fume cupboards tomorrow....thinking of getting some smoke pellets from Climate Centre and setting one off... will be able to confirm if it contains it and extracts it...

Could use the anemometer to measure airflow...but with nothing to compare it against its pretty pointless

Thoughts please?

Thanks

I believe that you are in for a mild shock if you think that a simple smoke pellet will provide a full test of a fume cupboard.

Apart from your knowledge of what has to be done are your instruments within calibration date?

Have fun and perhaps show IM's document to your boss. ;)

Dont really deal with many fume cupboards, had a quick look noticed 3 out of 6 had too much airflow others had little/none...had a little play around but told bossman its not my thing.... stick with what you know ;)

Wise choice, these things often come back and bite you when you get near the edge of your 'happy knowledge'.
