Hi all,
I am gonna need to cool down a tank of fresh water aquarium down to 4°C, which refrigerant is better, R22 or R404? Thanks.

Sir you are extremely correct and highly educated! :cool:
I was only comparing the two in the original post, by far the finest refrigerant available to mankind is ammonia.

As for me R-290! cheap very safe and excellent characteristics for head pressure discharge temp and compression ratio and beats the hell out of R-22! Yet has nearly the same evap temp.
