Hi,
Anybody pl let me know the solution for the following.

we have found faulty expansion valve (danfoss make) in a 6ton air dyer system operating with R134a gas. It is not available in the market and it takes morethan a month or two for the suppliers to arrange even an alternative.

Pl let me know if any other txv can work in its place at least for timebeing till the original is received. We have variety of valves in our warehouse suitable for other refrigerants if suited pl. suggest a nearest one.

Existing is danfoss make 6ton, 20kw, R134a – 068H5149

Look at this document

http://www.danfoss.com/NR/rdonlyres/92A8ED69-4C94-4F79-8360-16F1E260A523/0/01_FN_Expansionvalves.pdf

TE5 - TE55 are Rated capacity: 12.9 - 220 kW (R134a).
TCAE, TCBE, TCCE Rated capacity: 12 - 18 kW (R134a).

There is more information required before an equivalent can be made
but any similar valve in that size will do.

You can use other brands like Sporlan-Parker, Emerson-Alco, or do as Rob says, All TXV's are basically the same.

Try purchasing the new valve directly yourself, bypass your supplier.
