Hello to all

i have to install 18 liebert closed control units and i am obliged from the project manager to use
to use only type k copper pipes and fittings.
Here in Greece nobody has type k pipe and i am looking for suppliers to buy,not in America and 3rd countries but only from Europe for quick delivery.

thanks in advance

Yειά σου,

You might want to have a look HERE (γειά σου) then have another talk with with that project manager.

As the outside diameter of Type K is different from "normal" refrigeration pipes it will not fit the machines or standard refrigeration fittings.

If you still want to buy it just do a Google search, there seems to be several EU suppliers.

K relates to the thickness of water pipe copper. It most certainly isn't refrigerant copper.

google K copper like we all did and see for yourself.

Out diameter is the same, wall is much thicker and you are right about the usage,
For certain application, I use copper pipe 22 mm out diameter and 12 mm nominal size.

Here is the K type chart: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/astm-copper-tubes-d_779.html
