Hi All,

First post here, hope someone can help me?

Last week my power tripped out a couple of times in the middle of the night. Thought it might or might not be the american style fridge freezer i have. I then noticed that the water dispenser on my fridge was not cooling the water.

My Daewoo fridge freezer has a resivoir in the bottom of the fridge section. Ive looked here and with a thermometer its measuring 9 degrees. The freezer side is fine. Am I right in thinking that the freezer side feeds the fridge side with cold air? If so is this done by a fan? Before I take the back of the fridge is it worth defrosting the fridge? It is an autodefrost model but I've read that they can still ice up.

Can anyone suggest anything else to look for? Also can anyone reccomend where I can obtain a copy of a repair manual for my fridge?

Many thanks all for your help.

Steve

Hi,
I,m new too!
Have a similar problem with my daewoo FRSU20DCB.
It started playing up just before Christmas - typical!
Advised to defrost and restart which worked, BUT again is playing up:
(a)no ice in ice maker
(b) fridge section too warm but freezer itself OK.
I have heard that the fan sometimes plays up and needs replacement.
Any ideas and help anyone PLEASE!!!
I,m desperate!

Thanks tonto
I'm a technophobe, so where is the sensor and how do I check it?
