Hi all,
Any ideas on why a wall hung split would 'spit' out water while operating? Other Mechanics have checked over and no fault found. I'm yet to check over, just getting some info prior to my visit.
Cheers

Undersized,high humidity,poor airflow,blocked drain,SOG.....
Take your pick

drain backing up with water, may be ok most of the time but backs up after heavy use, dirty gauze on condensate pump,as others say dirty fins on coil causing water to get sucked off coil, strip unit and use nitrogen or compressed air to blast coil, be careful when using nitrogen.

Make sure the blades on the fan impellar are not clogged with dirt. Common problem with wall mounts resulting in poor air flow.

low on gas causing slight icing up with a slightly dirty coil and high humidity ? does this sound likely ?

I have had this on three differant wall units during the summer this year. Evaporator coil icing up, then when unit goes off, the ice melts and pours from between wall and unit, missing the drain pan. constant icing and melting. low charge.

Then there is the mould and scum build up behind the evaporator in tropical climates. Condensate pathways clog up and start dripping from various points.
