Hi

I'm working with a Climaveneta chiller model TECS-H 2AS which has 2 x turbocor compressors. I've been trying to connect to the chiller with their service program but not having any luck at the minute.

The fault is that compressor 1 faults continuously. It runs for some minutes and then stops. Everything seems normal until it stops. The fault code is L:131 which just means that compressor 1 has a fault.

I've no experience with these compressors and wonderered if anyone out there could help with some tips?

Thanks in advance.

Do the Climaveneta chiller use a Turbocor input/output board for the communication between the cvm and the compressor? If they have one, you can use the turbocor software with your laptop and a monitor cable directly over the i/o board. (RS232)

You will need to use the route Kevin suggests

I have commisioned climaveneta's with W3000's & you need a climaveneta usb service dongle !!!

these are not supplied to anyone outside climaveneta dealers !

Ok, i've now connected using the Turbocor service program and it looks like the compressor is stopping with a high discharge alarm. The alarm file shows everything that is happening when the alarm activates i.e. 16bar (60 celcius) but it's hard to determine exactly why the discharge temperature is so high. First thought is the expansion valve? Can this be checked vis the turbocor program?

Hi
16 bar
is high for r134a!
check your condenser,
good luck.

Condenser is common for both compressors and compressor number 2 runs fine

check no.1 discharge pressure with a gauge, could be faulty compressor discharge sensor, maybe the discharge check valve is stuck.

I've checked discharge pressure with gauge and it's ok. Also changed with compressor 2 and still the same. Gonna maybe try taking out some gas.

I agree with Psaac could be the discharge non return valve. Close suction and discharge valves (do not forget the liquid cooling valve) decant refrigerant form compressor and try to inspect discharge non return valve.....
