Hi guys,
I recently installed several split wall units fitted with Sauermann Delta condensate pumps in an office but the customer is saying the pumps are noisy. Now, in most offices this would not be a problem but these offices are as quiet as the grave. I`m considering fitting peristaltic pumps in the ceiling void with, maybe a cover, to reduce the sound when running (allowing for cooling air) Any recomendations for the quietest make of pump and type ie reservoir or temperature differential?
Or I could of course supply them with a radio fixed on Kiss fm on max volume as an easy fix.

Cheers guys,
Glenn

Aspen universal are crap, any pump nr a plasterboard stud wall is gonna be a pain. Mini aqua's are ok but again still not silent.
Blue diamonds are crap as they gurgle for 15 mins, good pumps but noisy.
Mini blanc pumps would req rerouting of the drain and hacking at the unit, but prob same motor in it
best option is to gravity drain to a plant pot, auto watering device, or get them to employ an office mutant they always babble crap

Mini Blue pumps (temp sensor type) I have found to be really silent and very reliable.

blue diamond are sh**e unless im installing them wrong, fitted a few on some daikin ururu sarara, and as the sensor type have a 20 minute overrun, when fitted in the ceiling space,18inch above the drip tray, with the 1/4 inlet hose drawing off the flexi condensate hose on the unit, granted they an anti syphon pot that comes with it but you cant fit them in an inoac 90 elbow as they have a 45deg angle so it cannot sit correctly
was looking into getting some of the float sensors to see if they cure the gurgling

Ive been fitting the MiniBlue, not the Bluediamond (now renamed as megablue?) - they may be slightly different.

I know the Bluediamond is alot bigger in size/slightly nosier and greater flow rate.

ah" pump house" not charles austen- yep mini blue, mini blonc, mini orange, and now mini lime do a silent version- if any are crap then i will report!, sauermann deltas are ok as th rubber mounts hide any noise transmission but the 1/4 outlet connection isnt the best- but they will pump up 8mtr vertical- ive done it,only had 2 fail in 6 yr and fitted about 50 of em, watch em all fail this weekend! haha

Charles Austen MiniBlue - which is in the 'blue diamond' range. Is the one I fit.
