View Full Version : PROBLEM WITH CARRIER VECTOR 1800 Mt

Hello to all

I have a problem with a treilor with a vector 1800 Mt the unit start by giving me alarm for compresoroveheated 75 COMP MOTOR OVERLOAD ... I bypassed the thermistor to check what is wrong and hear are the resolts the unit cools at the start very good with a DT -7 to -9 C and the ac curent is 24 to 26 amps then the unit is going to 29 to 30 amps with resolt to closing the smv and the suction press from 24-28 psi to be from 8 to 13 psi with the discharge press never over 290 psi even when the unit has a dt -9 C .
At the start I replace the filter and the elec. expancion valve .
I tested the compresor with no load and its takes 9 amps in all 3 phases
I took out the head plates and check for broken gaskets or broken threads all ok
I even tested the oil pump of the compresor its gives normal press ....
I empty the unit and charge it for start with 9.3 Kg R 404 ... the same ......

I realy nead some ideas because my brain is staling .....
And for finish the problem is the same ither on diesel or standby .....

Help guys ....

what software version does the micro have ??

does the compressor protection close after cooling down or it stays open? also check evap outlet pressure sensor is measuring right, and suction line temp sensor is reading correctly

If you let the unit to cool its closes again all the sensors evot evop csp readings are true anf corect...

can't think of anything else, maybe a software issue or micro, try micro on monotemp (i mean change from setup) see if does the same.

The unloaders are workink I will have the unit tomorow in the service i will let you know for details and as for the condesen is the old type ....
If you have any more ideas iam happy to hear them....

could it be a faulty ip?
is it possible to bypass the ip and the safty will be controlled by the amp draw on the micro?

first off, i would upgrade the software to current version(if you can get it) which is V05.07.00, then run the unit through a pretrip and see what alarms come up.
Alot of problems were solved with software with the early 1800mt, especially excess current draw due to how the micro controlled the mod valve.

what does 05.07.00 feature over 05.05.00

I believe there were issues regarding not being able to lock in some of the settings including ECO-MODE......
