Hi All

I am new to this forum, can any one help me if you have seen any installed chiller with Danfoss Turbocore compressors in Australia and the chiller is not Powerpax?

I've heard of Climaveneta and Quantum chillers but do they have any reference for their Turbocre chillers in Australia? I didn't find anything from their websites.

Thanks:)

Hi chillernow & welcome to the forum
I have worked on an old air cooled york chiller which had one Turbocor and one york recip. The chiller was for Hoyts cinema at entertainment quarter fox studios. For memory it had a lot of problems. Inter-chillers and another company specialise in these compressor in Sydney.

Totally over rated with oilless levitating bearings, dual stage centrifugal compressor, a glitch and all turns to custard, plus hugely expensive, flooded chiller on super inefficient R134a, and a control system to be wary of.

hi guys,
We have installed a lot of these chillers, mainly power pax. A lot of other manufacturers have the compressors and are using them on their own vessels multi stack have one which I have seen in their factory. the power pax have some easy maintenance procedures on these and the run very well. i have heard of people putting the compressors on old vesels but to me that can be a recipe for disaster.

Hi chiller now,
There is a product on the market called Cofley brought into Australia by quantum. These chillers are designed to run in 50 degree ambient and are a fierce competitor to the power pax. Some say the Cofley is a Ferrari with a Mercedes engine where the power pax is a commodore with a Mercedes engine.
