Well, if its dealing with full fresh air, a min of 8 row deep is suggested, and for recirculation type with 10-15% fresh air, go with 4 row deep.

Surely, if it's full fresh air then you want to maximise the bypass factor so as not to over cool the space ?!
If so then reduced rows are called for.

Brian, I guess it would also depend on occupancy numbers versus load. The higher the occupancy the greater the BPF required. A low occupancy but with a high load would indeed mean more rows required if one wanted smaller ducts and fan i.e. low air volumes.
