denco high pressure helpneed a bit of guidance.

Got a denco unit, pressures running at 5.5 bar suction and 15 bar discarge. Which both seem high. Set point is 20 degrees but only getting the room down to 22/23degrees. Tried adjusting the expansion valve slightly but it made no difference... Any ideas anyone?

What gas is it on??
what are your air on/off temps on indoor and outdoor??!
What are the condenser fans doing for head pressure control ? on and off at what pressure/temp.
Cheers

R407c
Indoor on 23 off 19
Outdoor on 15 off 28

Not sure about about the cond fans as there is very little info on unit. There is a fan speed controller running off pressure which is set for 1.9mpa if that helps?

A lot of Denco units have 2 compressors linked into the one refrig system, If this is the case you need to check if both compressor are running.

If you only have the 1 compressor, carry out a pumpdown to see if the compressor can pull into a vac.

check the controller parameters to ensure its not asking for dehum and powering up the heater banks, check v belts tension, check ur superheat -should be 4degk
Important
: "W" and "F" versions are fitted as standard with hot gas by-pass valves
(hot gas by-pass is an option on "A" versions). On low load room conditions, this
valve can be adjusted to suit the actual room load. Minimum suction pressure
suggested is 4.8 bar (70 psig R407C)
as a last resort check ur gas charge, condenser coils clean, on multi fan coolers ensure all actually work when called for

Suction pressure is fine and discharge pressure is a little low if anything. Set the head pressure controller to keep the head pressure at 18.2 b,

Now that you have adjusted the EXV, check your superheat,. It should be between 4 & 9, ish?
