Hello.

To determine average hourly power consumption, I need to know the either the duty cycle of an example air conditioner (any one large enough for an average ~150 square foot room, I guess the range of units used for such as size room is 5,000 to 24,000 BTU?), or if you can tell me what the power consumption of an air conditioner averages out to (hourly, even though it may not be on some hours, I just want an average), assuming that the room has averae insulation, is properly sealed, basically everything would be average.

I just need to know how much electricity air conditioners use. :)

Thank you for your time.

the answer would be too inaccurate, ambient temperatures, heat loads/lighting, windows, would affect the system.
best to fit an energy meter and then you could moniter the average consumption in kw and then it would tell you the running costs and be a lot more accurate
