Even the local suppliers of NH3 have got on the band wagon and ramped up the kg rate of a natural refrigerant. Add to that safety garbage for haz chem delivery charges , what next, still delivered on the same truck as before, same idiot driving the truck along with all the other hazchem stuff., bet dollars to donuts he has not had a pay rise for what ever risk factor. Nice one Orica and BOC.. clip the ticket senario, and make money yeah. Like a 50% increase in my costs per Kg., in 12 months.

 Every UK customer reading this post will now want his R134a supplied at the £10 - 15 / KG quoted above!!!

With indiscriminate sellers already selling via internet and outlets, how are we supposed to include for the certification, training, equipment costs etc required to do our job and still make a profit to keep us in business!

The prices mentioned in this thread do not take any of this into consideration and already I have customers supplying their own refrigerant to us!!!

Hi Hookster.
I totally understand where you are coming from. The WWW is a pain as all and everyone can purchaes anything. But the trick is application.

Cape Town ZAR800.00 from official refrigeration suppliers but maybe large trade buyers would get it cheaper.

If from unofficial suppliers maybe 100Rands cheaper but I don't like to take the risk, a few years ago there was a batch of highly flammable '134A' going around.
