Hi sirs

One customer wants me to review the performance the small cooling tower without fillings. It's supposed to be used to couple with a 9.8kw chiller which use this kind cooling tower. I think it's must be lower efficient than normal cooling tower. But how much the difference between the cooling tower with and without fillings? Who have this experience or any ideas? welcome to comment -:)

best regards
LC

Good morning Lichuan,

If you say without fillings, do you mean without water in the reservoir?
If so, it's just the water that cools down enormous the discharge gasses from the compressor.
You can't use anymore the dewpoint temeprature to lower condensing temperature.
Read once though this section, if any problems reaching this section, let me know.

The 'filling' is sometimes used to prevent water carry-over, from the pumped cooling water, being blown out of the tower.

Hi
thanks for your input.
the fillings or fill is the PVC (made like honeycomb) in the cooling tower which increase the contact area between water and air and enhance the heat rejection.
i'm studying some material for it.
