We have a 8,000sqft warehouse which needs to be kept between certain temp parameters, we are currently just about getting away with opening doors when hot and using gas heaters when cold, but this is not ideal and with temps like today we are struggling.

Can anyone recommend an option to cool and heat a building of this size?
I gather it will not be cheap to install, and our MD will not want to spend all that much as its only a rented building......

any suggestions welcome.

Many thanks

If he don't want to spend money then you won't get a proper system.

Unfortunately, that's the way of the world.

Is it the whole building you want cool or would spot cooling to work stations do?

Wouldn't be chocolate by any chance? Without the parameters you require hard to advise properly....however....could rent some package AC units....or for summer, use roof mounted "Monsoon Boxes" don't know what everbody else calls them, basically a cooling tower in reverse so to speak. Warm air flows through the falling water and "cools". very dependant on ambient conditions and usually only takes the edge of the warmth. Relies on cheap water though to be effective.....

For cooling do, at least, "free cooling" at nights (taking precautions against thievs).

That only works if the evenings are cooler than the max storage temp. We have done a few pharmaceutical storage warehouses and they need to be below 28 and above 10c at all times so they needed cooling during the day..
