Hi,

I've been asked to look at a Crafft ducted system in an apartment block in Spain.

The indoor unit starts for a few minutes but then displays E4. The outdoor unit appears not to run at all.

I have no manuals or wiring diagrams and Crafft UK suggest contacting Crafft in Spain (my Spanish is good enoungh to order drinks but not technical phrases).

Any ideas on what the fault code could be?

thanks

Following a link on Google leads me to this http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=crafft ac fault codes&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CFUQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chigogroup.com%2Fupload%2F1105%2F20115279841.pdf&ei=MpwNUNCYIarB0QWM27jOCg&usg=AFQjCNEAscebYkJWJEyd3IystC9ikfDWZQ

It would appear that your compressor may have a problem among other things...it's not too definitive :)

Thanks for your replies. It appears the unit is completely out of gas. I didn't check this initially as I thought the compressor/fan would at least try and start (they share a capacitor and I changed this).

Does this mean some manufacturers provide a pressure sensor somewhere that prevents the unit from starting?

yay-point to me!!!- usually a lp switch or compressor overheat stat or pipe sensor will cause an alarm.
