Check Belts or Clutch
(Model 50 units only)
Indicates the AC signal from the
alternator to the microprocessor “WR”
analog input has fallen below the
pre-determined limit for a period of
time during diesel mode operation.
This condition is usually caused by a
slipping or broken belt, or a slipping
clutch.
This is a shutdown alarm.
1. Check the Electric Standby option jumper (TP4 an TP8) on
the relay board for correct position. If Electric Standby is
enabled on a unit that is not equipped with the Electric
Standby option, this code will occur.
2. Check clutch and belts for condition, operation, and
slippage.
3. Check alternator operation.
4. Check the “W” and “WR” circuits including the 1000 ohm
resistor on the relay board for continuity.

6. Verify the unit model is correctly configured. This alarm is dependant on the alternator drive pulley sizes
used in the unit. The pulley sizes can vary between unit models.
7. Verify that the correct pulley is installed on the alternator. This code can occur if the alternator is replaced
with an alternator with the wrong size pulley installed.

6 and 7 are from the SR2 green book the first is from the TGVI green book

is it a prestolite alternator ?

it is a 50 series ?

thankfully we don't have SL Spectrum's here, I can't think of anything worse than a SL Spectrum with electric standby.
