I´m new in such so low temperatures.
I need to see a schematic of a double hinged door that it is contained in the proper wall of the chamber, so there is no part inside or outside of the chambers wall.
My main concern is about door and mark , or where the door rest, shapes , gaskets , and heating resistances .
Thanks in advance

Similar detail of overlap/ bevelled arrangement as per a refrigerated shipping container. You will need pressure balance port as well.

You mean the doors shall be flush with the walls. But if you are using two leaf doors, the heaters could be a concern. It is better that you go in for Door leaf resting on the frame so that heaters can be accomodated neatly.

Magoo , of course it will have balance ports.

smpsmp45,
As customer specifications it shall be as the drawing, so I think the heater shall be on the door. So "Door leaf resting on the frame" is not allowed.

Despite all it, where I can see a door-gasket-frame scheme.?

I think that you will have to arrange a "special" construction as the door seals be probably be non-standard.

I think I have to put the heater resistance inside de gasket the door , I can get this kind of gasket made to the order .

There are few door manufactureres ( Italian) who are using heaters in side gasket as you are planning.
But our experience is not so good with that construction. replacing the heater is a big issue as one needs to remove gaskets & that point has to be kept in mind if you are planning to go in for a special door design.

But I kave no other way to do it , I can not put a fixed post between the 2 doors .
Could you referr a brand or firm name of such Italian door manufacturer , or send me a private message

Can you not use a sliding door?

No place to slide, and the costumer is a "particular" customer

Hi Devitg, :)

For chamber at -50*C we were using EMS doors ... your chamber is at -40*C ...

not sure, but due to thickness of the walls (200-220mm) I do not believe it is possible to install doors flush with walls .... need a place to open and maybe a special arrangement of gasket and heaters .... but in another hand, almost everything is possible and available today ... for just a fist of dollars more ....

see here ... your client can choose a color ...;) of course with additional charge for that freedom ....

hope this is of some help to you...
