Hi guys, I have a 1950's (I think) domestic refrigerator that id like to rebuild. All the hardware and the seals are in great condition, as is the chassis. It has few distinguishing marks other than 'M5W'. I bought it off a guy for $20.
Was wondering what your suggestion for retro-fit would be.
Its a capilarry system on R12 and it is tripping the breaker. My plan was to relcaim the refrigerant, strip it down and start again.
Any suggestions on what compressor/evaporator/condensor/refrigerant/tstat you would use would be greatly appreaciated. I just want the finished product to be running efficiently at 2degrees C.
And Ill finish her off with a fire engine red paint job.
Ill post some photos as soon as my phone charges.
