I've a circa 2006 model of these, any known evaporator issues on them? This one is leaking every 3 months or so, faint traces off the drain, nada anywhere else, new evap?

Suction line rotted out under insulation? (seen a vid, apparently common place to go but not sure on model...)

It'll be the evaporator alright.

I've had leaks in lots of them in the last couple of years.

I replaced one last week that the pipe has simply burst like a water pipe that had frozen, that egg-shpaed bulge in it and a split along the side.

It's about a 2 hour job to replace one and you'll need plenty space as the top has to be taken off the TSSU / TUC / TWT cabinets to get access to the coil.

The new replacement evaps from True do seem to be a better qualitty than the old ones being taken out.

Not had issues with Evaps so much, leaks normally on suction accumulator that comes off evap so worth replacing evap anyway. What is stored inside. Like all evap if items with high acid content then evap will rot. Suggest when replacing, although coils are already coated that you respray with easy coat as well.
