Hi,
I have a small Slush Machine company in Spain and have continuous problems with my machines that have a UH AEZ2415Z compressor. I also have machines of a different brand and type that use an ASPERA compressor and with them I never in 5 years have had a problem.
I do not have the knowledge to determine what compressor of ASPERA would qualify to replace the AEZ2415Z . Can anyone help me and give a suggestion ? It can be any brand but Unite Hermetique .

Regards,
Paul

I forgot to mention that I tried to Google it for days before I decided to post on this forum of experts .

This is the technical info on the AEZ compressor, show it to your supplier and ask them to match an Aspera to it, if 2 models match go for the bigger capacity compressor.

I find L'Unite stuff pretty bomb proof, maybe the problem is in the design of the slush machines?

ACC
Electrolux
Unidad
Danfoss
Aspera
Embraco

Aspera was bought by Embraco a while ago. Very good and reliable compressors.
The also manufacture small condensing units.
They will be cheaper than L'unit.

Thanks for the advice.
I now have bought a danfoss FR8 5CL compressor which has about the same capacity as the UH original compressor. I filled the new compressor with the same amount of R404 Gas ( 242Gr) and ran it against a UH original compressor. It shows the Danfoss performs worse, the UH started forming ICE on the evaporator after 14,5 min. and the Danfoss after 21 min.
Should I just give up and stay with the UH compressor which is short lived , or can it be that the Danfoss needs a different amount of R404 charge to be most efficient ? I am not an expert on the field as you may have discovered, just asking for advice as nobody else has been able to sort this thing out for me so far.

Paul

OFN whilst changing?
New drier?
Vacuum to 500 microns? Standing?

Subcooling?
Superheat?

So many questions...

You need to match the compressor to the needed capacity, then charge would be fairly critical on such a small system. Is there no fridge men that can help you there? Have you any calculations that you used to choose the compressors in the first place?

Replacement compressor was found through http://www.hawco.co.uk/userfiles/Med...20pg%206-7.pdf
which is the compressor comparison page I was suggested to use.
