Dear All,

Would it still be OK to replaced an existing Helical oil separator by a conventional type oil separator of the same capacity? Was there any effect in the system if this will be done?

Appreciate your comments on the above mattter.

Best regards,

.

Yes. Oil seperators are oil seperators........

Some designs work slightly better than others and some are designed
for specific jobs but if you are working and a straight forward system I
can't see any reason why you can't put any equal capacity oil sep onto the
system.

Rob.

Thanks Rob

Basicallly the existing one (Helical and sealed type) is connected to a compressor rack (Linde) and we are replacing due to problem of clogging and we cannot find in the market the of the same model that is why we are replacing it with a conventional type.

As long as the new oil sep is the some capacity I can't see
any reason why you can't swap it for another type.
