Is that a 12v or 30v controller??
Indoor unit can't have an address above 50 , controllers are automatically denoted in 100's ,so a controller set to 11 is actually 111 .

yep- but starting it on the g50 has the same problem- i know if an indoor has no 240v then the controller will indicate all ok then dissappears - but 240v ok,glass fuse ok and as usual the pcb is 6 inches from the stud wall with the drain pipe in me way

swapped pcb with a 63 unit, adjusted the dip switches for a 32 unit- and all working- thanks for the tips but finally sorted- (i was the 2nd person to attend as the 1st lad said it was knackered and parts missing!!!- i only found the cover for the pcbs off- i think he only had small ladders and couldnt be arsed)
