For those that follow football.. The state of origin is on this Wednesday night..8 Pm Eastern Australian time.. First of 3 games to decide the winner for the year..2012.
Queensland V New South Wales.. (Cane Toads verses the Co*kroaches)

First game is in Victoria this year.. Don't know why?? Maybe Ranger One can explain? Victoria, nor any other state of Australia is involved in this clash.

This series is between Queensland and New South Wales only. Has nothing to do with any other Australian states or territories.
Of course, i will be watching with my Maroon colours on..
The winner of the series gets to fly their states flag on the Sydney Harbour bridge..
Piewie... Suck eggs!
As you are in A.C.T, which is a small part of New South Wales.. Your devotion is to the coc*roaches now.. The U.K. cannot save you.

Good luck to all players..

hi milkeref,
this sound like a fix to me like the great boat race in london , HOW COME THE SAME TWO TEAMS REACH THE FINAL , EVERY YEAR ,? its a fix I tell you , its a fix , = sedgy
ps, and the same team has won it for the last four yeas running , < its the only game in the world where the players have to pass the ball backwards for the team to go farwards<

G'day Sedgy. I have to clarify. The best of the New South wales players are selected to play against the best of what Queensland has to offer..Just two states of Aus clashing in a 3 match series.
Honestly,:o i should know how this competition started, however, since i only follow this series, and the "Kiwis" (New Zealand) verses Australia events... i am at a loss
Playing the first match in the State of Victoria, ( who only play a variation of this game) is beyond me. Mike.

Hurling , Irish national sport , involves 30 blokes with sticks(hurleys) and a very small ball, fastest grass sport in the world or so they say.
Not for the faint hearted , a bit of Gaelic football in this too , enjoy

Stu Looks like the sticks/bats were used for swatting opponents Stufus, and yeah Sedgy, Maroons (QLD) were just too good on the night. The Blues will win next time so that the deciding match will draw in the crowd.:D

No turning our back on Webber, especially after Monaco!

As a matter of fact if he was a kiwi, like we do with most others, we would also claim him as our own!
