I recommend that anyone working in a mechanical trade obtain a copy of Machinery's Handbook. Everything you need to know about fasteners, thread standards, tubing and pipe sizes, wire and sheet metal gages, strength of materials, gear dimensions, and on and on is found in this one volume.
