Anyone have any experience with SolarCool, made by sednaAire?

It appears to use absorption technology, without the middle man and using the solar panel to create the heat.

Doesn't tell you an awful lot, there is no real information or figures on the website (that I could find at least)

Have you had any experience with this technology?

I am curious about how it works. The solution might be to buy a unit then see what's inside :)

A few questions need to be answered, if your using R410a with a critical temp of 72 degrees celsius and the panel is absorbing heat what will prevent the unit from tripping out on HP on plus 35 days. Also the solar panel requires a supply of water, where is this coming from, do you continually top it up or rely on condensate, which is a problem in low humidity areas.

The water supply comes from the tank being pre filled, then the condensate from the indoor coil is used as the top up. I was talking with a dealer today, had a 2.5hr meeting with them. they answered 80% of my questions. the 20% unanswered were the most critical though. :(
