got to look at one of these today,there are two of these units being used as static freezers the problem is it wont refrigerate with cb1 in the;on; position it runs in a vac put it to ;off;it cools normally could it be the modulating valve i have changed filter/drier and topped up gas level 134a although it only took .25 of a kilo any ideas?

your unit is CFIII M9,M9a unit??If thats ok you try to cut the signal cables of modulation valve. And run its. Check the suction pressure..
