409A back to R12

I have a pop cooler that sounds like it might be low on charge. Won't know till i get there. It has 409a in it now, My 409a will not be here now till monday weekend slows us down in Northern Michigan, Has anyone replaces 409a with R12 with good success?

Years ago, we changed R12 systems to R409a,then onto R134a, so your cooler would be designed for R12 anyway. Same oil as well.
I haven't used R409a for years. Too many problems with high discharge temperatures and oil breakdown.

Mmmmmm...I miss R12 and R502. So so many choices now, can't keep up with them all.

R502 and R12 are just a figment of your imagination!!:p
