condenser fans won't stop running k control mr slim ?

hi guys, wonder if you could help out? got an old mr slim cassette found a p8 fault on the controller. Checked outdoor unit found the glass fuse on the PCB blown, replaced and condenser fans came on strait away. unit started and is running fine.
but when i turn it off from the controls the condenser fans constantly run!
could it be a problem with the pipe thermistor ? to my knowledge doesn't this control the fan speed/ cycle?

P8 could mean a saftey device worked like HP. Or could be damage coil thermistor.

Not my area, but I would suspect maybe a high discharge temp which would drive the condenser fans?

or relay on outdoor pcb welded- unplug the 2 fan connectors and test continuity from the fuse to the live out to the fan- isolate it first though

2 dipswitches on the outdoor will give u the coil temp- p8 is outdoor abnormality- ceck for flashing led on outdoor pcb or it will alarm p8 if indoor room temp doesnt change in 15 mins- ie dirty filter - blocked vents- etc

I'll check that next time im round there.
i unplugged the pipe thermistor to see if the fans cycled off but didn't.
I'll try the continuity.
