I have a manitowoc b450 and when the ice machine is in the harvest cycle, the left side of ice gets ready to drop but the right side is not. Machine does this about every 2-3 ice cycles. I was wondering if the machine has a way to set the harvest cycle to last a little bit longer or what i need to look for or do, i would appreciate the help thanks.

Hello CornerBar.
Given the way your post is worded I am assuming you are an actual end user?
Because your symptoms could apply to many different causes.
IE an issue with the Harvest Pressure Regulating Valve (HPR) or you could have low discharge Pressure, Etc etc.
I am going to suggest you call in a refrigeration Technician.
To check some of your potential issues you need specialised equipment.
Prior to this however, may I ask when did you last Clean this unit?
Cleaning it may just Help?

Hi CornerBar,
just to give you an answer on setting longer the harvest time: no, it's not possible.
You should know the harvest stops when the bin switch opens, due to the ice sliding off the evaporator, and recloses (must reclose within 30 sec otherwise the machine shuts off). The maximum harvest time is stated from a not adjustable time limit (3.5 mins in your single evaporator machine).
As Grizzly suggested there could be some refrigeration trouble. Even if the most common root is a dirty evaporator! Or, in your situation, an unbalanced water flow through the evaporator surface during the freezing cycle. Just check the water nozzles on the top of the evaporator.
If you need further support or an authorized service agency just let me know, I'm in contact with Mtwc service responsibles all over the world.

Just to add a few more notes as well, model B450 does not tell us enough about the machine to properly diagnose. Consider the entire Manitowoc model number will tell us what cube size and what type of refrigeration air, water, or remote cooled. Depending on the model may lead to a different diagnosis.

Or lastly, as Grizzly mentioned, a good cleaning can go a long way.
