hi, i have just bought a refrigerated van with a hubbard alpha 460

the unit works perfect, how ever i am looking to adjust the perameter of when the unit comes back in ie. unit is set to drop to -6 which it does but then as the temp rises it cuts back in at -2. to bring the box back down to -6 so there is a 4 degree difference

if possible i want to set at -6 an have it come back in at 0c so there is a 6 degree difference.

i believe i access the parameters by holding down the set button on the control panel. then i get d01, d02, d03, d04 etc show up on the panel. trouble is i dont know which of these codes i need to change to allow me to adjust the temp for the above.

or if this is not possible is there a parameter than allows me to set the temp to -6 then shut off for 30/40mins until it the fridge turns back on to bring back down to -6.

thanks

Hi,
If you look at the temp display controller it should be a Elliwell thermostat and in the bottom left hand corner is a number possibly a ic 901 or 974 if you go to Elliwells web site you can get all the controllers info there for your particular thermostat and how to alter set temps & parametres
Hope this helps

call a transport engineer to set it up it aint a 901 and it aint a 974 the 460 you have must be a fairly old unit and it runs codes from 0 to 34 if hysteria is at 4 dc then hot gas could also be badly set up and you could trash a comp call a transport engineer to you locally he will go via all parameters and set it up correctly

Thanks for the replies and help.

I am based in south Wales, Newport.

The control panel itself hasn't got any model number etc on it, just got Hubbard written above the display and a plate on the bottom with the serial number etc. I will try and get a photo of it to see if anyone recognises the control panel and could help me further.

Is there a way to get a list of what each code is for or is it an engineer only thing.

Thanks again

Hi I am not sure why you would need such a large differential its normal to have a 2 or 3 diff, but if you press and hold the set button and then select to D2 then increase to +6 and press the set you should have the diff you require
hope this helps

I played with a PF one last year. They had thrown a load of money at it and it still didn't work so shipped up to the midlands. Found the problem but was going to be too costly to repair so they took it off and fitted a Supra instead.

This one had the wireless cab controller. I did have a wiring diagram but not sure if I still have it. What did you need to know?

djbe what was the problem with that one

Generator windings shorted out so no output. Plus it was a multi temp and a couple of the evap. fan motors were burnt out.

I can't remember the exact cost of a replacement generator but that, coupled with the amount of trouble it had caused over it's lifetime led to the decision to remove it and fit Supra MT.

It hadn't done many hours as I recall.
