Hi
Got a problem on a 18,000btu R410a Wall Mounted Split Heatpump System.
Customer said system not blowing out enough heat.
Attach guages and amp meter, find system short of 410a.
Vac system out add 1.65kg's of 410a notice outdoor fan motor
starts operating with compressor then stops. Does not run again,
compressor reading 350 psi and running amps of 6.5.Suspect faulty
pipe sensor after removing 4 pin plug that controls condenser coil
and pipe sensor ( dual plug ) fan motor operates at full speed.
Guage pressure reaches 500+ psi. running amps 8.0 as per name
plate, do I have a faulty pipe sensor/coil sensor.
Checked omh's reading on both sensors but not giving an indication
on meter from either. In coiling mode system functions O.K pressures
all O.K. and amps O.K.Condenser fan cycles O.K. with sensor plug
in place. Reversing valve operation is O.k but customer still not
happy with temperature from indoor unit.
System is 5 1/2 years old. Filters clean coils clean.

coil sensor should be around 20k ohms return air sensor should be around 15k ohm, the panasonic service manuals are vague with their info-try fitting a 10k ohm resistor instead of the coil sensor to trick the unit in to thinking that the coil temp is 40deg and initiates normal heating operation

is that CS/CU-E18 or W18?

2nd thoughts, I assume its a W18?
In that case the plug with two sensors will be an ambient sensor and a pipe sensor
Ihope the attached file worked, and helps...
