View Full Version : Electrolux TR1241 fridge freezerneed thermostat

we have had my late parents fridge freezer for years but today the thermostat has died on us..i checked continuty and found its gone open circuit so tempory fix i have shorted the 2 pins out on thermostat..
i need to locate one asap but there seems to be so many types?
please help
p/s the freezer section is fine...

You need a Ranco K59 L1102 (VT9)

thanks for quick reply could u recommend where i could get one mate in uk...
ive had the thermostat shorted for abt 3 hours now and temp is down to 10c and dropping..

hi all the thermostat arrived today part number Ranco K59 L1102 (VT9)
the new one has 3 pins<spade conn> my old one has 2 can someone tell me which pins i need to use the earth is obvious as i see that connects to case like old one which 2 wires black and brown go where?
any help please as it come with no instructions

im well confused now i looked up the one on part masters that has 3 spade connections aswell..so anyone know where i can get stat with only the 2 spade conns?

it seems to be right from what i can see in picture but at that cost i will have to sleep on it..
wish i could use one that arrived hell of a cost difference...

Brown to terminal 4

Bit late but 6 and 4 are the ones, Ta stufus, and 3 is for heater, but you don't have one so forget it. Some sparkies on this island attempt to cut capillary to size which is a bad move. Roll up what you don't use.

Hi guys its me again fitted the new vt9 thermostat last night and waited to see if it switched off ok
voila success all working well.. connected wires to pins 4 and 6 as you guys suggested..checked temp today and its a constant 5c wife happy im happy bank happy...even got the light to work when u open door....changed bulb but found the sw that opens when door opens was jammed took to bits put back together now all fine...
think total cost was £5.99 thermostat £2.25 for bulb not a bad price to pay...
