check all electrical connections on fan motors, comp, contactors,is it a single temp unit and how old is the unit they had/have issues with evaporator motor plugs and heater elements battery chargers!

it is just over a year old 3600hrs its doubledecker and has 24v charger which i think may be the prob i have a23 two times in three weeks

obviously you cannot run it without the charger when in use ,can you monitor the amps with a clamp ammeter with the charger on/off by the way whats the 24v charger for, as i have no dealings with them only 12v.

Yes - OGF sensor.

Had the same about six months ago - intermittent overload. Unit was still under warranty to CTC though.

Replaced OGF sensor, problem has not returned.

the 24v charger is for the tail lift i would check the generator connections to the contactor there is all new software and battery chargers for the vectors now

24v charger is for the batterys for the floor that moves up and down as its a doubledecker if its an ogf fault why a23 not a100 ?

OGF = OVERLOAD / Ground Fault sensor.

I had to work at it to be certain of it too. Even started suspecting the compressor - until I called Transcold...

We had similar case; unit shut down with A23 when on diesel. But on electric standby, code for evaporator motor ovetheat activated. Reason was one bad winding in motor. Probably in diesel voltage/current got so up that A23 activated, but with lower standby voltage unit had "time" to see evap motor fault. Just a thought...

24v Charger is the issue. Micro has no option to know a second charger is fitted and if you are close to the threshold for the alarm and the charger is under load A23 will occur in most modes, the main mode will be null or on start up as the limits are lower

the problem is the long intervals between alarms, you will not be sure of what it is causing it until the unit will give this code on regular interval(every time you start it). could be anything of the above.... probably not ogf as it would be a100...
