Dear friends,
Does any body heard tank and plate type evaporator instead of tank and coil type
evaporator. If any body have details on this please forward to me or give some
reference.

tank type evaporators is basically a bare tube coil installed in a tank either at one end or in the centre of the tank containing chilled liquid ( water, brine, etc ). the evap tube coil is seperated from the sides of the tank by a baffle the coil inside the tank is usally flooded during the cooling process.

just to elaborate on my last the coil is not filled with chilled water or brine its the tank !!!

I have used them before. This one is for liquid but I believe they have ones pressure rated for refrigeration.
