Hi all i have been asked to go to a callout tommorow where the air con units are coming on by them self the remote controller i think is a daikin BRDC51 controller.

i suppose the most odvious reason would be a human switching it on but then again why would i get a call out. other reason timer?

If this is due to a timeclock not set up on the Brdc51 how would i know if it has a timeclock. is it like mitsi where the ac unit will have a three wire adapter going on to a board?

can see me getting there and the unit will just be in an off state for my duration of the visit.
any ideas guys so can be prepared.

cheers lee

brc controller has a 7 day timer built in-look for the tiny clock symbol in the left hand side, if an external volt free time clock is controlling it then you will have the centralised symbol ontop of the controller and either a timer adaptor or a different terminal bed if a roundflow cassette.
also daikins restart in the same state if power fails.

hi imonkey

cheers will look out for that strong possibility the 7 day timer could have been set. these units have been in for a long time so strange to have this hapen now. if no timer set or external timer present what you recommend. cant see it being a faulty controller?

if you want to see if there is a central controller on the system. Push and hold the test button for 5 seconds and if 00 comes up you will have a central control device somewhere.

You might be able to relocate a Mancunian but you will never get Manchester out of one...

Stufus you owe us all 20 quid mate.
install monkey turns out the clock symbol was on the one out the four controllers so someone activated the seven day timer but not knowing who.
I took it off timer, thanks to your info you gave me.

many thanks
