Trouble with LG Compressor

Hello.

I got a working 120 volt LG LX67LAQG refrigerator compressor that has a power consumption of 177 watts, but in LG's compressor spreadsheet, the required start/run capacitor field is blank.

I called them today and they kept transferring me back and fourth and failed to tell me what size start/run capacitor the compressor requires. My 35 uF air conditioner start capacitor worked, but I fear it is too big for this compressor.

I used this calculation suggested by someone in another closed thread to try and determine it:

(2650 x Full load amps ) divided by supply Voltage = MFD

177 watts / 118 volts = 1.5 amps. 2650 * 1.5 amps = 3795. 3795 / 118 volts = 33.6 uF.

Does anyone know if I can safely use that?

With the useful information IM gave you, you should be able to tell it's a RSIR motor, so doesn't have any type of capacitor!

Thank you install_monkey and paul_h. You have saved me a lot of trouble. :)

I just plugged in the LG directly and it worked with no capacitor. :D

Now I need to get the other details about evaporator temperature and so on, but can't get a datasheet.

Btw, the capacity is rated at 217 watts. Does that mean it is 1/4 HP or 1/3?

Also, it says it is a temperature of -23.3. I guess that is celsius?
