I have a client with a couple of old Trane BTC 200 G 400 CA air handling units that have corroded condenser coils.

I need to replace at least one of them shortly.

Does anyone know of a coil manufacturer/supplier in the UK, preferably south-west/south, that do not cost the earth?

This might sound silly but...

Have you asked Trane?

We had a similar problem on a chiller a couple of years ago and the cheapest supplier were actually Trane. They were going to have a one of coil made to the original spec cheaper than we could find it elsewhere.

(OK, in the end we didn't go ahead with the job as after craneage, mods to the building and labour cost been added there wasn't enough saving on repair versus new (with 5 years warranty) to justify the repair.

Have used Coilmaster near Southampton. Seemed alright.

Cheers,

We've used Heating & Cooling Coils before and they were quite good. Alternatively come through us and we'll do the leg work.....for a fee of course ;)

Assuming Trane UK still have the AHU factory at Colchester it'd be worth getting a quote from them I'd think.
Iirc we used Coilmaster a few times back when I was working for the above co. If Coilmadter are the ones I'm thinking of the owner's son came to work for us. Good bloke with a brazing torch! Anyway, we had no problems with Coilmaster (assuming it's them of course, it's been several years now) & generally good service.

We've had a quote from Beehive Coils and are just waiting on the client now I believe.
