Hi guys,

I have been asked to look at a Samsung SH12BWHAK, I dont usually touch these but have to come up with an answer for my customer.

The wall mount is flashing the green operation and red turbo lights similtanously and will not reset even if switching off power it resorts back to this fault.

Is it likely to be an option code or something else like a probe or pcb, I have no ino on Samsungs at all and google doesnt turn up much.

Thanks guys.

Well for the older ones, all lights flashed (or just operation flashed) for option code lost and needed reprogramming.
Anything else as far as LEDs flashing means a fault. But that's just the older ones, sorry I don't know about the newer ones.

Based on the fact that it does it without even trying to run after power reset, you would have to go with thermistor or comms error, as most other faults that are detectable with any unit normally means it has to try and run first. But I don't have any info on modern samsungs either (besides avoid that is).

Thanks Paul, I never realised just how little information there is on Samsung, I even spoke to a friend of mine who has installed literally hundreds of Samsungs and he recommended that I walk away from it as they are really bad bits of kit with no technical back up, Im glad that I install only Fujitsu, at least I know where I am with them!

Does anyone have a contact phone number for Samsung technical, Samsung customer services have been useless, someone must have the knowledge on these machines.

www.nodevice.com say that they have
Samsung - SH12BWHAX Service Manual
available for download but you have to pay for it.
This may contain the option codes that are needed to reset the unit.

Right guys, unit sorted and working, during my search for info found this which some may find useful for resetting fault codes on newer machines:

http://www.logicool-ac.com/samsung_technicaldownloads/051%20-%20Setting%20Up%20Option%20Codes%20for%20Samsung.pdf

Basically after a process of elimination it turned out to be a faulty isolator.
