If these generators are so good then why have I not seen one in an airconditioner? Is there a conspiracy going on here? I hear a lot of good things about it.

Install Monkey could you please share your experience, knowledge and what you've heard with us on why they're a gimmick. I have almost no knowledge of this technology.

Hi Friends ,

I have also heard a lot about this technology being used in split ACs, it was launched last year in India. But till now, didn't gain any popularity here.May be its just recently launched.

What you say ?? Is this really works or is it worth to spend more money on split ACs having this technology.

Cheers

Sumit

gentlemen, i have recently installed 6 daikin ururu sarara units and i couldnt tell the difference with the plazma thing on or off! Have to agree with this. Medical practice in town has 12 LG splits running, only some doctors have the plasma switch on and it seems to make no difference to the eventual contamination of evap coil.. Mike.

in our country, ion technology were first introduced on expensive split type airconditioner units. but lately, even low and mid cost window type aircon units have this (negative ion) incorporated. i also have no idea haow to tell if it functions, except for the indicator light on the unit saying that the ion gizmo is working.

By concluding the above posts , We can say it doesn't effect much or the difference is not easily noticeable. So, no need to spend extra money for this technology.

Cheers
