Just curious what the highest temperature a condenser can reach, in theory and in practice (also with a standard 3kw split) any help appreciated :D 64

It depends on the refrigerant...

If it is C02 they can boil water!!

Most synthetic refrigerants break down (thermal decomposition) if the refrigerant
runs above the critical temp for too long, so that is a limiting factor.

Most common refrigerants would therfore not be suitable above 60 or 70 degsC..

Also our pressure test figures are based on a 55°C temperature.
