Hello does anyone have a downloadable alarm code sheet for Carrier, such as Ultrima 53.

Could I also say how much the site has assisted me over the last two years, Thanks!!

Hi OMF.

I am not sure what model a "Ultrima 53" is?

But attached is the Prodialog alarm code list, I hope this helps?

Think it's a trailer or a reefer

Think it's a trailer or a reefer

"Oh! Dear Me" Or words to that effect.

The above will be useless then James.
Well at least I tried.

Maybe the attached will help if it is indeed a transport system.
The attached are for a Transcold 69nt.
But just may be applicable?

Read the 2nd attached file,

8401The trailer next to the truck is the one that I am having trouble with, it comes up with code 12 = High Pressure but only on pre trip. Runs fine and never fails.

The charts that you all gave me are good but not the one.

Thanks.

Another Question if I may. Does anyone have a diagram for an old 12 Robinair red recovery unit, I work as a part time trainer and the students pulled the wires of the relay and we don't know where to put them, have tryed many combinations but no good yet. Model Number 17103 Sno. 2959.

Thanks

looks like a Ultra xt, don't Ultima53's have Advanced micros ?
You work for Adelaide Refrigerated ?

what you really need is PPPP sequence and timings, with some gauges fitted and your eagle eyes you'll pinpoint it. My guess would be HP2 switch on defrost inop.

here:

The PRETRIP key is for checking unit operation and
evaluating operation of allmodes and indicating a failure
when detected. The following details the sequence :
a. Unit operating and box temperature is below 40_F
(4.4_C).
b. Operator presses the PRETRIP key. If the defrost
thermostat (DTT) is closed, the controller will display
“PPPP.” If DTT is open, no response -- end of test.
c. Controller displays “PPPP” Pre-trip mode is started.
d. After 30 seconds in high speed cool, unit cycles to
low speed loaded cool.
e. After 30 seconds, unit cycles to low speed unloaded
cool.
f. After 30 seconds, unit cycles to low speed unloaded
heat.
g. After 30 seconds, unit cycles to low speed loaded
heat.
h. After 30 seconds, unit cycles to high speed heat and
displays coolant temperature.
i. After 30 seconds, unit cycles to high speed cool and
displays defrost interval selected for 30 seconds,
then unit cycles to defrost if DTT is closed.
j. After standard defrost cycle, Pre-trip is terminated
and unit returns to normal operation.
This is not a self-diagnosing pretrip test. No specific
pretrip alarms will be generated. Pretrip must be
monitored by the user to verify that the unit operates
through all cycles.

The ultima 53 is a US made unit, not from the french factory, in australia they have a mix up of US units and European units, although in the early days in Europe you would have had the Ultra unit.
The ultima 53 comes with the advance micro, which is the same as the Vector micro's.
The very first Ultima 53 that came into australia were fitted with "Stealth" grills, it was advised many years ago to remove the front grille and fit a standard grill as the air flow in high ambients was restricted by the big "diamond" shape.
Also how many hours on the unit, if the hours are high you most probably have SV1 sticking during pre trip.
How does the unit perform on defrost? SV1 is only used sometimes depending on the Head pressure.

Ultima 53's can be Summit micro or Advance Micro, SV-1 is always used in heat and defrost. Make sure the discharger pressure transducer is reading correctly. Make sure the unit is not overcharged.
