Has anyone used a vac pump thats powered by air ? i bought one a fews days ago . waiting until it comes from eerm china .

they say it pulls a full vacuum in 2mins ha. cant wait to put vaccy stat on it . are these just the same as a normal 2 stage pump or a little faster? or just crap waste of money?

These only go to 28.3 inches of Mercury.
Not low enough for professional use. A amateur at home might get away with it.

Using compressed air as power supply increases the electricity consumption by 8 times.

Pneumatic systems are the highest power consuming.

It`s a vacuum generator. It uses compressed air passing over an orifice to create a vacuum. They`re often used in the print industry to lift card into sheet fed presses. Horrendously inefficient. Whenever we come across them we advise replacement with a side channel vac pump or combined blower and vac pump, usually carbon vane to eliminate possible oil contamination.
