Hybrid condenser sub tropical climate

Client asked the question.

Is it worthwhile installing hybrid condenser to save on energy/water?

They are used in cooler dryer climates, but what about a sub tropical climate?

6 months of the year its cooler & less humid, but long summers.

Evaporative condenser has wet and dry operation. At lower ambient temperature efficiency of wet cooling will decrease and efficiency of dry cooling will increase. I think that for your application it is not worth to use hybrid. Hybrid condensers should be used for cold climate.

sub tropical as per northern NZ, the killer is the wet bulb condition, evap/cond banging gumbs going no where. Auck design is 23C/ 27C on a good day higher most of the summer peaks for 3 months. Perhaps over speed fans for more air, water usage will drop with high Wet bulb
